This is an exceptional, unique, well-developed blend of white grapes which reflect both the fruit and the local conditions. The fruit is very, very evident in each sip. The wine is somewhat similar to the petit manseng - but with brighter acidity and background. The fault in this wine is in the drinkability - it goes down too quickly, too easily, and with too much flavor!

Although we are often not fans of blends and mixed grape varietals, this wine was very carefully constructed and is an exceptional demonstration of what North Carolina and the Yadkin Valley can yield. It is balanced, bright, and wonderful.

It pairs wonderfully with all seafood and cream-based sauces. The acidity and brightness from the corbu blanc grapes is most successful with any rich food. We've also paired it with spicy Thai, Lao, and similar chili-forward food; it excels in this paring as well. We're also happy to drink it without food, on the JVD deck, watching the clouds and the vines.
